AACUC Eastern Region Chapter
The purpose of the Eastern Region Chapter will be to provide networking, community involvement and educational opportunities for the member base regionally and to act as an agent on behalf of the national association to recruit new members who will help to increase the strength of the global credit union movement by adding focused perspective and energy of credit union volunteers and professionals.
Additionally, the Chapter will provide information to and from its national association, AACUC and promote the exchange of ideas and educational programs to its members.
The Eastern Region Chapter comprises of the following states: Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, Delaware, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
The AACUC Eastern Region Chapter held its annual meeting Saturday, June 25, 2011 in Columbia, MD. Congratulations to the new officers elected!

October 20, 2012 Quarterly Meeting
From ERC Chapter President, Michael A. Richardson...
"The meeting began with a meet and greet. The welcome was extended by Chapter President; Michael Richardson and recognition extended to the National AACUC Board members that were present: Bert Hash, President/CEO of MECU, and Lynette Smith, President/CEO of Washington Gas & Light FCU. Board members of the Eastern Regional Chapter were asked to stand and introduce themselves to the group as well.
The topic chosen for the meeting was “Effective Credit Union Marketing in the 21st Century”. A panelist of marketing professionals was invited to present to chapter members: Jeanna Williams, MECU, Sr. Product Manager Lending and Mark Ely, SFCU, AVP of Marketing
Topics covered by Jeanna included; growing your delivery channels, Social Media, branding and message segmentation. Topics shared by Mark included; daily marketing messages, simplify your message, pull on the heartstrings, own your messages and keep up with current trends.
A Q&A session generated a host of intriguing questions from the various credit unions and associations that were in attendance – MECU of Baltimore, Mid-Atlantic FCU from Montgomery Cty, MD, PEPCO FCU from DC, District Government Employees FCU from DC, Washington Gas Light FCU from VA, Library of Congress from DC, Securityplus FCU from Baltimore, Mid-Atlantic Financial Partners from Bethesda MD and MDDCCUA from Columbia. The questions addressed areas concerning; Mobil apps, pre-approved auto loans, Shared Branching, On-Boarding and Re-Boarding.
Lunch was provided prior to the Business meeting which was chaired by the Vice President Adrian Johnson. Door prizes were drawn and everyone departed with something. Early feedback indicated a positive meeting with timely information being shared."
June 2012 Quarterly Meeting
On June 23rd, at the Quarterly Meeting for the AACUC Eastern Regional Chapter (ERC), Mr. Mark Brantley, former Treasurer for ERC and presently AACUC Executive BOD Advocacy Chair, presented a check for $7,500 from NY Municipal CU to support the ongoing efforts of the Chapter.

October 2012 Quarterly Meeting
