AACUC Committees
Advocacy Committee - Chairperson: Mark S. Brantley The Advocacy Committee is responsible for seeking and/or creating opportunities for AACUC members' perspective to be added to appropriate boards, trade associations, commissions, and targeted legislative and regulatory organizations in a manner that will increase the global credit union movement's strength.
Bylaw Committee - Chairperson: Sheilah Montgomery The Bylaw committee is responsible for developing and maintaining a set of bylaws which shall be the governing document for the AACUC.
Conference Committee - Chairperson: Barbara Stephens The Conference Committee is responsible for planning the annual conference and the networking events at GAC. Both of these events showcase signature activities and programs sponsored and implemented by AACUC.
Internship Committee - Chairperson: Bert Hash The Internship Committee is responsible for making African-American college students aware of the career opportunities that exist in the credit union movement and provides internship placement for these students. The Committee also acts as a liaison between credit unions and universities to develop a viable internship program among these institutions.
Marketing Committee - Chairperson: Lillian Priest The Marketing Committee establishes and maintains the image of the African-American Credit Union Coalition through all communication and media channels.
Membership Committee - Chairperson: Melinda Edmunds The Membership Committee's goal is to recruit and maintain dedicated individuals from the credit union movement who, as members, will carry out the mission of the AACUC.
Mentoring/ADF Triad Committee - Chairperson: Helen Godfrey-Smith The Mentoring / ADF Triad Committee enhances current efforts within the movement to provide mentoring services to credit unions both inside and outside of the United States. Nominating Committee - Chairperson: Lynette Smith The Nominating Committee is responsible for leading the recruitment process for suitable board members. |
