Dr. John Hope Franklin - Advanced Leadership Institute Scholarship Opportunity

AACUC and The Credit Union Executives Society(CUES) are proud to offer the Dr. John Hope Franklin Scholarship to an active AACUC member to attend the 2010 Advanced Leadership Institute at Harvard University. The 5-day program will be held July 18-23, 2010 at Harvard University in Boston, MA. The intensive will focus credit union executives on the critical issues facing financial institutions and the opportunity for credit union CEO's to emerge as visionary leaders.
Funding
A total of one scholarship will be awarded for the 2010 Advanced Leadership Institute program. The value of the scholarship will equal the cost of tuition for the Institute. Tuition includes room and board. All travel and other expenses will be your responsibility.
Criteria
A panel consisting of the CUES President/CEO, AACUC chairman and a past scholarship winner will evaluate your application based on the following criteria:
1. Financial need: You will need to highlight the specific financial hardships faced by your credit union and its inability to cover full tuition costs.
2. Ability to contribute to the classroom experience: You will need to illustrate the unique knowledge you will bring to the Advanced Leadership Institute experience.
3. Dedication to the credit union profession: You will need to elaborate on your long-term goals within the credit union movement.
Scholarship Application Deadline
Application deadline is May 1, 2010. Winners will be notified by the end of May.

CEO Institute Scholarship

The African-American Credit Union Coalition(AACUC) and The Credit Union Executives Society(CUES) are proud to offer a scholarship to an AACUC member to attend the renowned CEO Institute Programs below.

CEO Institute II: Organizational Effectiveness
Cornell University, Johnson Graduate School of Management
April 25-30, 2010
CEO Institute III: Strategic Leadership Development
University of Virginia, Darden Graduate School of Business Administration
May 2-7, 2010
The scholarship will pay the full tuition for all three segments of the CEO Institute, including costs of rooming and most meals. The curriculum and instructional materials for the CEO Institute have been developed through extensive, ongoing research by the host schools of the CUES’ University Consortium.
