Ashley Beach Reid
Senior Manager of Lending Operations, Member Services Division


Ashley Beach Reid has over 12 years with SECU of MD developing her career as a credit union professional and is currently in the Member Services Division as the Senior Manager of Lending Operations. She has had the opportunity to work in a member-facing role in Retail Banking (Branch) and has spent the majority of her time in a support role in the Lending and Accounting/Finance divisions.


Ashley has an Associate’s Degree in Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Salisbury University and is a member of a few young professional networks which includes The Cooperative Trust (CUNA), YPN (MD/DC CUA), and Emerging Leaders (United Way). She also joined AACUC in 2017 and has been a part of the young AACUC Young Professional Summit (AACUC YPS) ever since the conference in Raleigh, NC. She is now on various committees for AACUC: Annual Conference 













Emma Norman
Director of Learning and Development
Local Government Federal Credit Union

Emma Norman, Director of Learning and Development, works at Local Government Federal Credit Union where she plans, directs and implements learning programs that enhance staff’s knowledge and skills. A 20-year veteran in the training industry, Emma delivers dynamic platform training and facilitation. Having a clear understanding that learning never ends because we will never know it all, Emma is inherently a student as much as an instructor. She approaches each engagement by seeking what can be discovered from experiential learning.  

Prior to joining the Credit Union Movement, Emma worked for state government where she helped improve operational and training efficiencies. Since joining the industry, she has designed and delivered The Institute of Leadership, a signature leadership program for the three different levels of staff at LGFCU: non-management, management, and senior leaders.  She has obtained various certificates and certifications including, CUDE, EQi, DiSC, Situational Leadership, and Certified Diversity Professional. 


Emma is a two-time graduate of North Carolina State University, receiving a Bachelors of Management in Finance and Accounting, and a Masters of Education in Training and Development.











Kevin Martin
Sr. Vice President, Organizational Performance and Strategic Planning
SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union 

Kevin joined SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union in May 2013. He is directly responsible for the credit union’s strategic and business planning processes, as well as operational performance and reporting.  Prior to joining the credit union, Kevin held multiple consumer and commercial banking roles within Bank of America, including multi-product reward strategy, mortgage process improvement, product management, and merchant services performance management. In addition to financial services, he also has multiple years of consulting and entrepreneurial experience.


Kevin has a Bachelor’s of Applied Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering & Applied Science, where he also played football and a Master’s of Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He brings a combination of strategic vision, process improvement, and statistical analysis of the SchoolsFirst FCU leadership team.
